because of the bureaucracy
bureaucrats are pretty smart and they are able to trick the plebs with statements like "who would fix the roads if there was no government"

but the truth is that most people love bureaucracy, because they are not nearly strong enough to survive in a pre industrialized society. infant mortality was close to 50% for most of humanity, and now it is 2% or less. in other words, our genetics are extremely unfit, and trying to return to societal models prior to the modern ones known for bureaucracy would be impossible due to too many weak people

i think we should do it anyway of course, because i do not believe humans to be innately valuable, and a society that is more fair and less bureacratic will obviously result in lots of deaths of weak people
