i think canada and usa should keep working together as always because usa could easily btfo leaf army whenever they wanted, so as long as it is mutually beneficial i don't know why usa would aim to kneecap leaf gdp like this
i dont think gas prices will go down in canada because our industry would probably just make less petrol products than produce at a lower margin, and because petrol produces a wide range of commodities by density (kerosene, diesel, air craft fuel, gasoline) & with a smaller market in general, gas prices will just go up and the other commodities associated with gas production could get reduced in price as quicksell
everything is probabbly going to get worse for middle and working class americans and canadians for a while, maybe some american middle class will benefit from local industry in 10 years but i can't see anything good about it
