/bant/ is a board on 4chan dedicated to off topic discussion with flags. The main attraction of the board ended up being petty drama, people would spend hours arguing about who was ruining the board, and trying to scare each other off. In the beginning, people had a lot of hope that the board would become like the old /b/, and everyone was enthusiastic about creating original memes. Most of these memes were of low quality, they include /bant/-tan, bant plant, bantelope, simon, borche, and other crap. In addition to this, a person called King of Games stole a bunch of gets with Cirno (from the touhou project) as his avatar, this lead to there being a cirno cult around the board. The cirno cult has been dying, but it still exists to this day. They have been posting cirno threads and necrobumping them for days at a time for years at this point, but they aren't very important, so I won't talk about them in the rest of this entry. The early culture was against /pol/ colonizing the board, and they tried to stop them from taking over. As time went on, the artists behind the OC became less enthusiastic about posting, the hype died down, and they started complaining that /bant/ was dying… (1/??)

A poster called PD, was one of the main leaders of the anti-gay faction Normie and Fagmark were their targets. Most of the OC creators left during this time (their OC was unfunny garbage, so I didn't really care) and it turned into a pit of negativity with people constantly posting about how bant was dead. A poster called "rageleaf" was known for his rants at this time. In addition to that, the board was known for having games on it, People would make threads for various games like risk, the hunger games, boss battles etcetera. The games died out as the board became a target for spam, Mostly from a neurotic loser named Korbo, and a troll called the schizo romanian… (2/??)

People accused him of watching my little pony (by calling him a ponynigger), which he would fervently deny. Pinkybong also came around this time, Pinkybong acted like an oldfag larper, most people could see that he was a blatant troll, but there was a chilean faggot who thought pinkybong was serious about every post, and ended up flaming him. Yonkers and Futuresight fag came to the board at around this time, and their retarded responses to people's posts lead to both of them developing a swarm of troll orbiters. Ritsu also came around this time, he was an extremely neurotic homosexual. Some people trolled him, but he's never been a huge target. Eventually the spamming died down, with a furry from /g/ being the worst of them, and the board transitioned to a lolcow cult around yonkers. The yonkers cult became bigger and bigger until it was the main attraction of the board, eventually a mentally ill person named Biggu started posting on the board and created a following of orbiters. He was a very rude person, who ended up getting a following of r9k posters who would flock to his threads and post discord shit… (4/??)

Eventually, he was committed to a mental institution and was much better when he came out. This status quo continued until /qa/ was deleted. When /qa/ was deleted the denizens of /qa/ decided to raid /bant/ as a replacement for /qa/, this lead to a new era full of soyjak spam, and native bantoids bitching about /qa/ immigrants. The /qa/ immigrants thought they could drive the native bantoids away, but they were unsuccessful. Partially due to bantoids being used to spam (the board had been spamming itself for years at this point, and anyone who couldn't tolerate spam and shitposting had left /bant/ a long time ago) and partly because the 4chan moderators decided to ban any soyjak threads. Around this time, people also started spamming the board with pepe images. They called themselves frog posters, and would usually make one line blogposts about something unimportant. They antagonized the anime posters and wanted to slide them off the board. Part of the animosity was deserved since various groups of anime posters would necrobump their threads and keep them up for days at a time, and a lot of anime posters would make low quality circle jerk threads. But they didn't really create anything to make themselves likeable. They had a newspaper called frog friday facts until the mods started banning them. The /qa/ users eventually merged cultures with the /bant/ natives, and the board became stagnant, with most interesting activity being directed towards trolling Yonkers, DT, Ritsu, and Futasuck… (5/??)

Things stayed the same until an internet reality show called "Fish Tank Live" was released. The mods from /tv/ decided to start moving the fish tank live general thread (/ftl/) to /bant/ which lead to /ftl/ threads being posted regularly on /bant/. The threads were super cringey, with the regulars simping over an ugly autistic girl name joshie. The bantoid natives recoiled in horror at such behavior and began complaining about the threads. Naturally people started spamming the threads with gore, baby monkey torture, and gay porn, to try and scare them off but it didn't work. The bantoid natives gave up on scaring them off, and ignored the threads. The board basically stagnated, and turned into a bunch of nobodies blogging about their lives, and a couple of lolcow cults (mainly around DT and Futasuck). and general threads (like /ftl/). Eventually the mods made /biz/ require email authentication, which lead to many users from /biz/ (mainly crypto shills involved in pump and dump schemes) flooding the boards. As of now, the board is full of /biz/ generals, with the occasional crap thread as well. The era of /bant/ drama is over, the flame of hatred has been, quenched by the waters of greed, and the autistic screams of anons who once roamed the board have become echoes of a forgotten past.
