What you call "dogma" is actually called order. Religion brings societies together and acts as the fundamental glue preventing them from splintering into multiple different cultures which over time will develop the desire to be fully independent. It begins as societal/moral decay and gradually becomes the fulcrum by which nation-states form and revolt. While Islam has done nothing good for any person or society who refuses to partake in it, it has been extremely effective at holding the nations who subscribe to it together. There is a strong pan-Islamic identity which is not seen in "Christian" nations - because we are not Christian nations.
Even if it was dogmatic, that's a bad reason to forsake your mortal soul. You'd burn in the Lake of Fire for all eternity so that you don't have to submit to a set of rules - which are trivial for any normal person to follow, mind you - for a hundred years or less?
