Societal breakdown started in 2015 and became irreversible in 2020. It's over for America, at least culturally and politically, if not economically. There hasn't been much truly good media, politics has become a circus, society has become atomized, the us is more stratified than ever before since the industrial revolution era, so on and so forth. Maybe one day society will magically reset, ai will become somehow inaccessible, people will notice that the tech black hole is unhealthy and limit screen time, everyone will kiss and make up politically and we'll all realize what fools we've been. That would be nice. Too bad it'll never happen.
