>>243278To elaborate further its gonna be a trilogy, (in ideal world)(if i even get around to make a single game even) first game would be set in approximately post-rome timeframe in not-middle east (based on ibn-fadlan&co accounts), you would play as a cultist neophyte who ends up being almost sacrificed by his fellow bretheren, but it would go very wrong and the cult would cease to exist other than our hero who would get marked as a sacrificial lamb to le evil powers a la guts berserk, the main goal of the game would be to figure out how to get daemons off your dick and dodge them in the proccess because they would constantly harass you especially if you pass through places with some bad energy, certain actions like using magic would also attract them. The daemons in question would be based off the tribes Alexander the Great supposedly sealed in real life (gog and magog), but unlike real life here they would actually be real, but unable to actually get past the bronze gates they would seethe uncontrollably about it and cast evil hoodoo shit in the outer world (later in the lore not-genghis khan/not-tamerlan would conquer china+japan+partially middle east, open the gates and slaughter the evil tribes wiping out his entire forces in the proccess and getting all the yellow people killed resulting in china, mongolia korea and japan being uninhabited later in the timeline). At some point in time our hero also finds out that the reason behind all this shit happening was because during begetting of reality some parts of a higher being/system which contracted from a higher plane of existance failed to properly emanate into being which resulted in them developing in unnatural ways therefore allowing various evil phenomena to exist (i forgot if thats how it really is in kabbalah or not but it sounds cool)(it would be low fantasy though so no actual demons and dragons and shit, more like ghosts and ghouls also magic would be presented as more of a ceremonial kind and crafting talismants and shit instead of literally casting fireballs), also our hero finds out that his fate is nigh immutable so in 99% hes going to get his soul eaten alive after death for eternity, the only way he would be able to dodge that is to erase his existance somehow (make it invisible to reality), obliterate his soul completely, or as a special ending he could go all the way north through the taiga and sail away into the sea of darkness never to be heard from again. The game would feature no or almost no combat as our hero is a scholar not a slayer, instead he would be able to either talk his way out or use his other various skills to solve the problems, kind of like in age of decadence (a videogame), he could offer his services to local kings and shit for knowledge and resources but generally everyone would want him dead especially if they find out he dabbled in dark arts.
The second game i thought the least about, but the rough plot would be about anglos inventing a printing press (in 14th-15th century) and plotting to overtake the world by printing books and exporting them all across the world in order to conquer it culturally, not sure yet how to shoehorn occult themes into this one.
Third one would be centered on experimental (occult) theatre doubling as an international giga-spy ring set in not-Vienna in about pre-ww1 period, double/triple/quadriple backstabs will occur and basically no one would be what they seem like on a first glance, due to the world being created flawed, those flaws would develop even further and basically shit will get really crazy and reality starts falling apart as powers that be try to hold it in place by staging a special play both inside the theatre starring actors/mediums and in the real world using spies.
