I remember someone pointed out how chaos gods manipulate those who finds themselves in bad situations to gain new followers. I love Death Guard and Mortarion but hate Nurgle because of his manipulations - if you look at how he got Mortarion to swear loyalty to himself, you'll see that he's more disgusting than you might already think

Well, they are evil since they were born out of bad toughts that ended up in the warp - if their respective evil things disappeared, they would die of hunger. Therfore they are just plain evil since they embody certain things in the worst aspects possible - combat, schemes, pleasure and death aren't bad themselves unless they are in excess
