New theory: very talented artists gravitate towards new forms of expression. If Shakespeare lived in the 60s, he'd be shredding that guitar instead of writing. If Hendrix lived in the 2010s, he'd make a groundbreaking indie video game hit.
This explains why everything sucks nowadays, no talent in most media
