The game would be better without the constant ripping off of Dark Souls lore. It doesnnt even do anything with it thematically/storywise and the game has its own story+themes so it didnt even need them. It just pulls you out,like, what was the point of making the MC an "undead"?

The hunger that once fueled him has dulled into complacency. The mainstream licked its fingers clean and left him bloated on its scraps.
I don’t blame him. Not really. This is how it always goes. The ones who see too much are eventually blinded by the light of acceptance. The edges get sanded down. The teeth get pulled. And what’s left is just another ghost, haunting the corpse of what it used to be.
I still check. Every day. Like a prisoner pressing against the walls of his cell, searching for cracks that aren’t there. Maybe the game will come. Maybe it won’t. Maybe it’s better if it doesn’t.

>>314372 I dont really like turn based rpgs. The only ones I enjoyed are the ones where they mix in actual gameplay with the turn based strategy or ones with "gimicks". Even as a kid I only liked the Mario and Luigi RPGs where you can avoid damage and maximize your own with little minigames where you dodge and shit and Pokemon which had the monster raising gimick. And now I really like Deltarune and Persona which have their own combat system and gimicks respectively.
