ive only really enjoyed citadel from afar up until this point i played the demo and enjoyed it, the manual reload kind of fucked me up because i play with an autistic control scheme (arrowkeys to move, space to jump, rshift to sprint) and i had to go all the way across the keyboard and hit r to reload, for example, the revolver, so i didnt enjoy my time with it too too much but looking back on it idk why i didnt just
rebind reload.
plus i just beat trepang on very hard so i think im probably better at video games overall than i was back then so it might be easier

Psychopomp is actually really good, I expected it to be kind of boring but no and its also not as trannycoded as I thought it would be, it's less trooncoded than Peripeteia which was only a little bit such so it passes the vibe check. Definitely recommend if you think it looks even a little interesting. ps the mc has the most awful name ever: C'Venash Vishneri is apparently her canon name according to gelbooru (and the wiki).

caved and played the heckin twitter incest game many years late to this party i know but it's been gnawing at me and it was on sale for cheap so into the library (hidden) it goes.
This game is both a lot better and sometimes a lot worse than I thought it would be.
For an RPGmaker game, it makes a lot of very nice attempts to shake up the gameplay, especially in the dream sequences. I think the character writing is both this game's biggest strength and it's biggest weakness. It definitely deserves the bad rap it gets when it comes to being the quirky incest game, it lays it on pretty thick and both the brother and sister say shit to one another no siblings would ever say. Me any my sister are very close and we don't make jokes about fucking or making out ever. It makes me wonder what the motivation was behind it. The cynic in me thinks that the writers figured they needed to make their game stand out somehow and incest was what they went with, the idealist tells me they thought it was a compelling trait to give these two and they just thought they were cooking when they weren't, and the realist tells me it's just their fetish. Regardless, I don't think it was handled very well. It's like a 16-year-old sat down and went "what would be uber effed up to put in my game? oh, I know, the brother and sister have sexual tension the whole time!" the actual justification is that the sister is obsessed with the brother and that's all well and good on its own but he reciprocates it more often than is justifiable on his end.
As far as the characters themselves go, they're pretty good in isolation. The brother is fun to root for (mostly) and the sister is someone you love to hate, while still having some redeeming qualities to keep her from being a complete bitch. She works well as an antagonist. I just wish they were more consistent with the characterization of the two, particularly the brother.
Light spoilers: At one point, a group of completely innocent campers literally ask the two for directions and they decide to sacrifice them and their child to the demon, literally within a minute of them leaving. The sister suggests it, which is in character, and the brother just goes along with it. He's already a few kills in by this point so it's not like he'd be squeamish, and the campers aren't super important (in fact, they're so unimportant they don't even get unique sprites) but he's supposed to be the more moral of the two and it feels like that gets tossed aside sometimes. It's kind of like that for every kill after the park, up to the point I played, they just get less justified and I keep wondering why he doesn't just kill his bitch of a sister instead a la picrel (not an option in the game, at least up to that point in the story). It'd probably solve most of his problems.
The mom is hot and mogs the shit out of the sister so she bumps it from a 6/10 to a 7/10

the artist who made this game is probably the same person who made all those drawings of western art style femboys tpg or whoever would spam a few moons ago. thinking back to it, the art style is very similar if not 1 to 1. there's very little nsfw on the person's twitter page but the account in question is mainly about promoting their games and patreon so I'm thinking it's a professional account and they draw femboys getting railed on their main in order to keep the two separate
played the demo, it's very goonerpilled in a bad and cringe way where it's always almost hentai but never quite there. many of the characters you encounter fall into three categories >reference to a different video game or anime, or a meme >sex >original but not super creative (for example, mummies, robots) it's like papers please but its a lot less serious. it shakes things up by making you get out of the booth and inspect license plates and car models (which I find to be a little OD personally, especially since if you miss a little detail on the car model, you have to redo the whole level, usually including a tutorial. Also, it seems to me the game is somewhat bugged, there were a few times where somebody's papers checked out and their car was the same model, everything went right and I still lost, so...) and there's this weird ghost subplot. The game has formally declared on the steam page that it is NOT HENTAI, so play without fear I suppose. I dunno why it does all this wishy-washy softcore bullshit if it isn't gonna commit to it, though. Not that I need every game to be nsfw but like if your game isn't gonna go anywhere with it, why have all the >innuendo >cleavage >dat artstyle
it feels tone-deaf (sex = funny type shit) at best, and cynical (potentially targeting kids?) at worst.
