i have motorola edge 50 pro it takes nice photos and selfies and i watch videos on it, it has a massive robust battery and the most advanced charging technology on the market at the time and only cost me 560 CAD after all taxes and shipping. i never put a plan on it because i fundamentally do not need a phone lol idk what a gimmick phone is but i bet its more than 1000 CAD. i was surprised how much some phones can cost when i was replacing my 2017 moto g5 despite doing nothing better, i suppose spec sheet comparers and benchmark spergs are basically nonexistent compared to the average phone buyer whom i find incomprehensible i only replaced my moto g5 because i got too much pocket lint or something inside of it which was causing a current leak and killed multiple replacement batteries
