Double edge saftey razors are easier to use than straight razors but they aren't reusable. Electric razors can't cut you, don't require shaving cream, and they are reusable, but they don't shave as close to the skin, they are a pretty good option. Straight razors are also reusable but they require cream and are risky to use.
When I was going through puberty, I shaved a little patch of my legs before going on to my face. I did this to practice, because I didn't want to accidentally cut my face and have a scar.
