/bant/ is a board on 4chan dedicated to off topic discussion with flags. The main attraction of the board ended up being petty drama, people would spend hours arguing about who was ruining the board, and trying to scare each other off. In the beginning, people had a lot of hope that the board would become like the old /b/, and everyone was enthusiastic about creating original memes. Most of these memes were of low quality, they include /bant/-tan, bant plant, bantelope, simon, borche, and other crap. In addition to this, a person called King of Games stole a bunch of gets with Cirno (from the touhou project) as his avatar, this lead to there being a cirno cult around the board. The cirno cult has been dying, but it still exists to this day. They have been posting cirno threads and necrobumping them for days at a time for years at this point, but they aren't very important, so I won't talk about them in the rest of this entry. The early culture was against /pol/ colonizing the board, and they tried to stop them from taking over. As time went on, the artists behind the OC became less enthusiastic about posting, the hype died down, and they started complaining that /bant/ was dying… (1/??)
