In some ways, I like the term CSAM because it can more acurately differentiate between loli (or any other form virtual child pornography (which the legal term for pornography that is produced without the use of any real actors)) and authentic child pornography. Lolicon is child porn if you take the obvious definition of the two words (porn depicting children). CSAM as a term has tons of problems since not all illegal child porn is sexual abuse (For instance a 10 year olds taking pictures of himself is child porn but usually not an instance of "child sexual abuse"). Child porn is a better term because it's more accurate in how it's used, most people are using and producing CSAM as pornography so it clearly explains the intentions of the trade in a way that CSAM does not.
