That's fantastic anon, whatcha gonna do with your old cables? I'd personally just give em away to a PC building hobbyist or a used PC parts shop or whatever but I guess you could sell em at a loss on OfferUp too. I'm sure they're fine for older or low spec boards… Probably?

Steam Deck 2 release date estimate and latest news
>Here’s everything we know about a possible Steam Deck 2 release date, as well as the Valve handheld's price, specs, and benchmark rumours.

>What is the Steam Deck 2 release date? New developments in the mobile processor market have led to some speculation being cast that the Steam Deck 2 could be closer than we first believed. Could Valve turn to a more traditional solution to power the Steam Deck 2, and could it get the jump on competitors to AMD’s shiny new mobile processor?

>Valve may have already released the best handheld gaming pc as we coined it in our Steam Deck review, but that doesn’t mean the company has been resting on its laurels. We saw that with the refreshed Steam Deck OLED and the company has confirmed it’s also already hard at work putting together a Steam Deck 2. This isn’t too surprising given how many people are clearly interested in the Deck. Time will tell, however, how much of an upgrade it will offer and whether it can stand up to more powerful competitors.

Okay
>was thinking of getting an oled steam deck but im debating whether to get an oled monitor instead
You could save money for your OLED monitor by just getting the LCD Deck instead perhaps so long as you don't mind the slight hit in battery life…? Valve is trying to get rid of their older 64GB and 500GG first generation Decks by selling them bellow MSRP in fact now.

It is intolerably hot, your body is covered with lice and flies, you are malnourished and you suffer from numerous curable diseases. But, as far as young East Africans can tell, this is simply the natural condition and they live within it. By the time they find out differently, it is too late. >The Steam Deck won

The not-so-secret redpill about tech is that APUs are the future and the sole reason why the Steam Deck performs so well.
Parallel computing is MASSIVELY favoured by a majority of present-day applications, and people are beginning to wonder if it wouldn't just be more efficient to run your CPU tasks on a few reserved threads out of your GPU.

This isn't presently practical since GPU architecture is very simplistic compared to x86_64 (and GPU single-thread performance is poor compared to CPU single-thread), but once APU-compatible architecture (like ARM64 on phones and now Win11) is developed further, the advantages of APUs are going to become really obvious.

For instance, one of the biggest problems with graphics programming is that VRAM read/writes are hella slow, and you have to duplicate a bunch of shit between RAM and VRAM a lot of the time.
But under an APU, """"CPU"""" and """"GPU"""" tasks can use the exact same RAM and assembly instructions, which is a godsend.
Kind of makes me wonder if something like TempleOS running on an APU (since Terry famously hated the ways GPUs are accessed and only wrote 640x480 VGA software renderers) would have been a graphics powerhouse.

The Arc A770 GPUs can't into AI, even if they have 16gb of VRAM. They can't use FP64 and because of this they can't store data over 4gb in one batch. If you have a model that weighs 8gb, your model is split into 4gb+4gb, then it copy merges them in the VRAM as 8gb, then, you need to delete those 4gb+4gb in the VRAM (because you are right now storing 16gb in total). In resume, you can't store any AI model over 8gb without getting an OOM. Intel is fucking retarded.

depends if you have a high end parts that youre going to stress frequently than liquid would work better, but if its in the medium ballpark than you dont really need it since it wont draw a lot of power to even heat up that much
for cpu i think an aio would be a good investment if youre concerned about temps theyre very simple to install
i set up a custom loop for my pc and let me tell you an aio would have been better molding the tubes into shape and and installing was a pain in the ass but it looks cool i guess

im not in this segment anymore but im happy for intel, they need every win they can possibly get these days, even if winning is just keeping pace with old parts with a slight price undercut
there will be a new generation of pcbuilder peasants that remind me of me of when i was buying amd gpus and suffering through the driver and stability issues prior to and including the rx480 release

you don't know what the canadian market was like for gpu's now or 2 years ago
the 30 series was NEVER a good option in canada for the price
the 4070ti and the 70-ti's are usually by far and away the best price/performance in canada
t. first discrete gpu was a 670ti
