>>392629>one of the recent trends is hating C++There are many reasons to hate C++ but almost 90% of the reasons plebbitors give are nonsense or non-issues entirely
>I say just plain C is bestIt really is not, and the idea that writing in pure C makes you more âenlightenedâ because everything is manual is absurd and almost always comes from a place of clout seeking
What baffles me is that the same people love shitting on JavaScript (which is an awful language, donât get me wrong) for being dynamically typed, yet masturbate themselves over how unsafe and therefore âbadassâ they are for using C while calling Rust users plebes for desiring safety, because, in the real world, a segmentation fault isnât some badass error you post on your Durgasoft reddit to flex about how literate you are with pointer arithmetic
Honestly if you write C++ elegantly and in modern paradigms (i.e. exactly like Java) and donât fall for minimalist anti-OOP fad sloplangs like Zig and Odin or any of the retarded designs they encourage youâll be fine
