You can coerce someone into a duel. The reason it's b& is because there's no way to ensure that 100% of duels, where lives can be lost, are entirely consensual.

I do think the government should allow private individuals to consent to fistfights in order to resolve disputes by combat however, but if you kill the other person even by accident that's automatic first degree

that, or knockout, be it unconsciousness or inability to continue fighting from exhaustion or disorientation, or the duel is immediately concluded in the victor's favor if their opponent sustains a major injury such as a concussion or a broken bone. Should the defeated's insurance refuse to cover injuries sustained during legal duels, a sum of half of their total medical bills resulting from injuries sustained during the duel, which present immediately or within a period of two weeks following the duel, will be subtracted from monetary winnings, and used to pay the same bills. This is in order to prevent longstanding rivalries resultant from extreme financial problems tied to losing a duel in such fashion, but really, a dueller should be able to recognize when they are beaten and forfeit before that point.

During a duel, it is ungentlemanly to strike an opponent's bullocks, bellend, willie, mammaries, gooch, or neogooch, and an intentional strike to such places will cause a three day stay on the duel. Should the offending party repeat the forbidden blow, the duel is ended in favor of the victim.

Weapons are not allowed in standard duels, but I do believe duel by (fully armored, and loss-on-contact) fencing or swordplay should be allowed.

All sanctioned duels are overseen by a registered federal notary and a medical professional.

I'm sure this definitely very serious system has no medical or legal flaws whatsoever and works without issue, yes.
