you ever wake up and feel a longing for the desert? I'm feeling that. the spinifex flowers and the prickley pears should be in bloom at this time of year. I think it'll be a beautiful sight.
Being black and spanish, my blood yearns for my natural environments
The boreal pine forest and coastal highlands. There is something tranquil and naturalistic about them.
As far as the desert goes, I think the American and Mexican deserts are fairly boring, especially since the indjins are all but extinct, and the Gobi is also off the table because fuck China o also
That said, I wouldn't mind a guided tour through the Arabian or perhaps the Libyan or Moroccan deserts. Preferably on camelback, shepherded by a humble and kindly Arabian gentleman by the name of Omar or Osman, or something similar, who seems to be simple on the surface but belies a hearty sense of contentedness with his life. His days of learning and adventuring are simply behind him, and he now takes pride and joy in leading fat white Americans around the desert on camels. He smiles and happily tells them all he knows when asked about his "headdress" or if he "knows anybody in al-quaeda". A younger Osman may have been insulted, but at this point, going on fifty, he's just happy that people are expanding their horizons. Like children, those without experience sometimes ask questions they shouldn't. They remind him of his own. Life is good for Osman.
>>411983 I was once offered to by a camel, my little sister with to the son of the camel farmer near noosa, but I turned the offer as I didn't have the camooweal property at the time. that said the desert in australia is a lawless place where you can do whatever you want, and as much as it's a double edged sword, I enjoy it. that considered there's massive opals everywhere out there, if you don't mind being shot at(out there they call it an american greeting). still, I'm more drawn the freedom and natural beauty of it all. I think I might go to lighting ridge next week.
