if something like Hitler Did Nothing Wrong happened today you can bet your ass Hassan and AsmonRoach would be talking about it day one. Nothing can be a funny joke anymore. On one side you'll have people clutching their pearls going "OH MY GOD HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT ABOUT HITLER" and the other side going "SO MUCH THIS! HOLY HECKING BASED, SO REDPILLY!" and both are completely missing that the entire point of it isn't to actually praise Hitler but to fuck with Mountain Dew for giving people the power to decide their slogan for them. The entire thought process was "Gee, what would be the most fucked up thing possible to put on a can of soda?" and that was it. It was egg on Pepsi's face and nothing more, not meant to offend or to coddle anybody.
Like I said though, every uninformed faggot and their mother, or more accurately, their retarded livestreamer of choice, has some half-baked, idiotic, and most importantly, universally applicable and completely pervasive political opinion they just have to get off their chest, and they don't have the goddamn self awareness to just laugh at something fucked up and let it be it.
But I suppose now that we don't agree on anything anymore, which I'll remind you was largely engineered by big business and the big political estbalishment, it's impossible to define a baseline set of morals, so nothing is really transgressive or shocking anymore, it's just a matter of whether your team did the terrible thing or not. If so, based, if not, it becomes just another bullet in your ammo against them.
